Attack: Best for new weapons
Defense: Best for new armors
It's common to train Strength first, unless you need the level for your next weapon or armor, Attack & Defense is optional unless you really need them
Since the early game is pretty dependent on Attack & Defense only for the chance to hit the enemy & less chance for the enemy to hit you, where at this point you're ate, they don't actually do much rather than it's for gear from hereon
Until you can idle or manage to work on God Dungeons for their gear, what you're doing is really all you need currently
Good Luck & Have Fun
