One handed magic attacks?
Is there any way to do one handed magic without having to grind rune essence forever to get a wand? I'm trying to get eyeballs but I cant get to strange cave without a one handed weapon. Seems really weird that to get the magic summon that only requires a few levels in summoning requires you to have high end magic gear.

The magic wand is the MOST BASIC MAGIC WEAPON THERE IS. It only requires level 1 to wield.
If you don't want to grind 1000 rune essence, um ... well, surely you need far more essence than that to actually CAST magic, right? But a wand can drop from the Wizard, the lowest enemy in the Wizard's tower.

- kill wizard, there is small chance to drop basic wand. to be honest, grinding essence is the faster way to get a wand (if you don't have anything for magic gears).
- you dont need wand for eyeballs. you can go melee gears and fight melee monsters without trouble, so long as you have enough health and enough food (and also auto eat for idling)

You could get that wand from completing the basic tutorial but i guess you missed it or discarded it?

If you go to Magic in https://wiki.melvoridle.com/w/Weapons and sort by "two-handed", you can see what other weapons qualify, and maybe one of those is within your reach.

he needed a one handed magic weapon to farm eyes. need to have that mirror shield equipped to do dmg in the area.

Right. You sort by "two-handed" and look at the ones listed under "no".
