I chose the Terran god.
I highly suggest NOT repairing all buildings, as it's costly until you unlock the skillcapes and upgrading Markets for even less repair costs, only repair what you need unless you necessarily need specific buildings for any reason
While Gods are a feature, you don't really make use of them until far later, when you can upgrade to have Worship from only 2 buildings available, having enough would provide a percentage of said tier to grant a bonus, where I doubt you have available as it seems you are in early stages of Township
Your current god doesn't have a negative towards Education at all
Just don't forget, Township is a costly skill, having reserves of large amounts of money is a must, to keep upgrading, repairing and growing of course
Good Luck & Have Fun
In my opinion, it's a bug - It looks like summer is treated as winter or maybe there are a few other problems.
It's very weird because when you start township you have:
50% happiness
50% education
Now I have summer and my township has:
0% happiness
25% education
something is wrong.
Until you reached the specific level and required resources to actually build them, you won't have full access to those features, and obviously in your case, as it's just Seasons giving you the bonuses
Upon inspection of the Season Modifiers, you are in fact experiencing just that, it's just each season has a bonus or negative, you're seeing the Seasons Bonuses, not necessarily the bonus of starting with a boost as you start Township
Strictly just going to mention Happiness & Education bonuses
Spring: has +50% Education & +50% Happiness as bonuses
Summer: has +25% Education
Fall: Unaffected Education & Happiness
Winter: -50% Education & -50% Happiness
You can also view the Season Modifiers, where the next town update is, if you click the button for View Season Modifiers, it'll show what positive or negative bonuses for each season affects your town
Good Luck & Have Fun
Summer only has +25% education and no happiness change, which is exactly the difference you're seeing.
Spring had bonuses for happiness and education and now is summer and these bonuses are not existing.
Great! Thank you for explaining. It's quite clear when you know how it works, but it's a new mechanism in the game and I thought that something is wrong.
Ok, I'm going to beat a few mobs :D
The more you mess around and understand how Township works, it really does get really easy and understandable, until you reach max level, then it literally just becomes an idle bonus with taxes and trader stock
I finally was able to reach max level on my Adventure Mode character, didn't take as long as it would have, having known to just keep my Happiness Buildings & Estate Buildings repaired for maximum XP, also wise to note if you want extra bonus XP during this time also, if you skill with the Skills Ring on, you'll get extra XP that way too, so every time your Town updates hourly, you'll get bonus XP, or any other XP boosting gear or bonuses
Good Luck & Have Fun
