Signet Half (a)

So i've been stuck the last like 5 days doing fishing for 3 days and thieving for 2 days now and i know i would usually get a gold topaz ring like once a day. But here i have with multiple (b) from combat and still no (a).

Am i doing something wrong? I am doing Raw Magic Fish and Princess/King am i just unlucky or do these skills not drop signet half? Worth noting i have every skill 99 except Summoning.

While of course you know, it's all based on chance

The highest level action when doing non-combat based skills, whether it's gathering or creating them increases the chance to get it, but also preferable that if you're farming it, to make sure you do something with the least time of an action as well

You have more chance to find the (a) half when fishing for whales as opposed to fishing for seahorses, then again, take the action it takes to catch a whale into account, as it's a long action

I normally get mine when fishing &/or cooking, as those help as they're two way as in I gather then cook them and come in large quantities, when you are choosing to do raw magic fish, first off it's a slow catch as the action it takes is relatively long and you're not getting a lot of chances to get the (a) half

If you have the option, do whales and whales are faster than magic fish but also offer greater chance as it's a higher skill action as well, just remember, higher skill action the greater the chances

The odds are based off the level of the action you do, so doing the quickest highest level action you can would be best (level 99 for base game, 120 if you have ToTH expansion)

For base game 99s Dragon Platelegs or Dragon Platebody are about all there is

For ToTH Carrion wood can be easily reduced to ~1.5 seconds per-interval making it the fastest way to get Signet Half (a)

So the chance is x/16.5M per action where x is the level.

So even a 99 lvl requirement item would be 99/16.5M per action. So no, you're not unlucky. I've had multiple dry runs where it was weeks before i got another signet.

As for fastest methods. Mining with the cape and perfect swing potions drops it down to 0.85s per swing etc and it'll take forever for the node to deplete.

Had to check the cape did nothing. But no agility bonuses, god dungeons air -> fire done and the upgrades purchased it was 0.85s. Atm with everything done, just finished Last dungeon few days ago it dropped down to 0.75s after the pet boss bonuses.

And by quickly glancing at your profile you've completed fire dungeon. So buy the necessary upgrades for faster skills. Craft a 10k+ supply of Perfect swing potions and just let the game idle for a while.
