Mine whatever your best material is, mine coal if necessary, smith the corresponding bars, figure out which items you can make with those bars sells for the most then make all the bars into that item and sell them.

Thieving is also great for money, having auto eat helps if trying to idle it.

Township is the best way to make money, Only with the ticks I get 500k per ticks. so 500k gold per 5 minutes and I can do whatever I want in game and not mind about gold issues.

How much population do you need in your township before you get 500K gold per tick from it?
Xuhybrid Feb 2, 2023 @ 8:17pm
Mining Gold/Mythril/Adamantite is one way.
Fishing all the way up to Raw Magic Fish will both make you money and give you food.
Thieving is also great but you need food for it see above ^

I have 18k population. But honestly I would not mind much about townships, since the dev (1-2 days ago) say that they will release soon a total rework of the township skills.

You seem to be pointing at fishing as the best way for new players to make gold. I say this as anyone who has been playing for a couple of days has already figured out how best for them to make gold so would not come here and ask how to make gold. I tried that when I first started and all it did was give me fish (that is great for cooking food to stay alive while fighting) but not all that good on cash. Plus it quickly overloads your newbie bank with garbage stuff that sells for pennies. So I must be missing something about fishing that makes it the cash cow of the early game.

Fishing lets you do other things that make money, if you don't want to sell the fish directly. You can farm leather and get early Auto Eat 1 or use the food for thieving etc.

If you get your skill mastery over 25% junk goes away, with 99 a fishing cape doubles drops 99 on a specific fish master grants 2 fish minimum.
That means a catch is either 4 or 8 fish so something high value like a whale is 3-6k per catch.
You take it one step further to cook however 99 mastery on cooked whale with the cooking cape and the redwood camping fire or higher you have 100% chance to get a perfect cook which is worth 3k per whale over quadrupling the value. Its not the best gp/h but its easy and reliable while also giving you large quantities of good food for other things as xuhybrid mentions

stop worrying about money. endgame you have nothing to use the money on and you accumulate billions with nothing to spend it on.

Yes and early game you constantly have to burn gp like it's going out of style to keep up with inventory space and upgrades which kinda means that worrying about money is required as it's the primary bottleneck aside from levels

township is best source for GP
thieving at level 90+ is also decent, but nowhere as good as township

If you want cash, agility is my favorite way. No risk, and it's pretty fast offline money with no crafting necessary, and nothing to sell.
