Township feels useless now
These nerfs to township have made the skill feel pretty much pointless now. It used to be at least a decent way to make money and gather resources but now with the GP cap and the huge increase in cost for resources, it's only a little more useful than firemaking. Like, if you're going to cap the trader, why increase the cost of resources per item?

Doesn't just feel, it is. I picked up some extra food from the trader when trained in combat so i wouldn't have to fish and cook as often. However i'm getting something like like 50x less fish now from the trader thanks to the gaps. plus the prices have gone up like 5-10 x as well.
Township is useless now
Yeah I have to agree. Old township felt like I was rewarded for building a big town.
Its definitely a tougher sell for end game players than to new or lower levels, and the nerfs to money making does indeed take away (to me at least), the only appeal it had.

Though... the new quality of life features, mainly the auto yeeting, is insanely useful, seeing as now I can simply set the limit and blindly advance as many ticks as I want, for the xp.

The balancing adjustments were also very useful in terms of xp, after the update I managed to boost my town from 11k population to 16k. The only reason I still engage with it, is for the benefits of the superior max cape.

By design, a min-maxing, micromanaging skill in a game that is for the most part idle, is going to be an insane balancing act, hopefully it gets better.
So what's the point in Township if it doesn't give you resources or money in the main game? Just wondering what the whole point is of a skill if it doesn't actually do anything.
at this point there is no point. it was not a well thought out change and unbalances a significant portion of the game that was only in balance because you could easily trade for the resources. I dont understand the need for large balancing changes in this type of game. You will never be able to find a common ground between those who want to min/max and those that want a casual idle game. By nerfing township to stop min/max issues they made things take a ridiculous amount of time now so that you dont ever really feel like you are making significant progress. Bad call on their side and bad concept of what their wider player base enjoys, because having your entire save more or less turn into a dumpster fire that will take longer to fix than it did to originally build due to "balancing" in a single player idle game is kinda insane.

Feels like township came out a few months too early and they don't know what to do with it now. The nerfs are odd too, if they're going to limit the amount of gp the trader has, why did they also increase the cost of the items you get? Like, if it was breaking the game, just make resources cost more, there, done. Or why force the player to build more trading posts to increase the cap? Why not just have a cap and call it good. You'd need to build 400 trading posts to hit the 100m gp cap, which would make getting enough resources to make use of that cap pretty much impossible.

I do agree the quality of life and UI changes are great and were very much needed but I don't think they really thought out what kind of impact they wanted the skill to have or how to nerf it, so these changes just feel like complete overkill. Even if they fix it, it's worthless in the mean time.
I agree that these changes don't make any sense. My storehouses are full and there's no point to continue
True and at this point i've made like 1% of the money back that i spent on it. Literally 1% wish i was exaggerating.
Recent reviews have dipped the game from 92% positive down to 84%. They've really bungled the expansion and township.

I don't even want to get it to 120 now. My love of game is ruined. At this point I think the only way to save the game is to delete township and refund the gold players spent on it. Make all buyable township related items in shop available w/ other means outside township.

Yikes this was bad. There's no salvaging it. It's a flawed ♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea.
I've just unlocked a trader, and i see that it's totally useless. It requires so much resources, that it looks like a poor joke.
Trader cap is a joke - I never post but what the ♥♥♥♥ dev it's a single player game who cares about GP being "devalued"?
This trader nerf does seem pretty extreme :/ I was really loving the strategy of building a town and was finally getting more gold out of it (still not as much as I put in).

Surely the only point can’t be to get the exp items? Right? Because if it can’t make money or give resources faster than other skills then it does seem to be a bit aimless other than to get a big town that doesn’t collapse in on itself.
To me it doesn't feel useless.... It IS useless. I'm pretty new to the game and had to sell all of the random items in my bank for bank space. Now I can't trade because I don't have 10k items anymore. My gold went from 19k per tick to just 5k too. I can't think of a single thing this is useful for anymore.
My gold seems to have bugged out and earn 0gp per tick now. xD
