Mod.io is Complete Garbage

I am constantly getting errors trying to setup an account through steam. Yesterday I couldn't even log in and just kept getting a generic error message. Today I can't verify my email account while getting another unhelpful generic error message. So what's it going to be tomorrow that I have to do and can't because of these garbage and unhelpful errors...

The mod changes have me considering no longer playing the game. I wont make more new acconts for things, I'm sick of it. Since I dont want to play the game without mods and I wont make a mod account it looks like I'll be quitting. The mod change is a game killer.

I just signed in through Steam yesterday on Mod.io and all it did was ask for my email to send a verification code and worked fine, so I'm guessing it's just a temporary error. No additional account needed.

Do previous modding strategies still work? Can mods be tested locally without mod io?
