No more future updates?...

I absolutely loved playing this game up until i read that post from the dev, i've been grinding hard on it since, but he clearly stated there will be NO future updates for this game, RIP, guess i may aswell uninstall early, very unfortunate. I thought this was some sort of live-service idle game (one of the most popular in it's series AND kind) which would always have content added and updated. :'(

v1.0 release wasn't the end actually, I don't stick with the community anywhere but on Steam, but in the actual game itself, if you scroll down on the left side, just under settings you'll see the 'News & Changelog' in that tab if you click 'Development Roadmap', currently the next update for v1.1 will be about level 120 skills, so far above 99, we'll also have 120 skills and/or bonuses for hopefully all skills, which likely means more items/features to come and 2 more likely updates after that, most likely 'at least' 3 total updates, if not more, but hopefully more

Dude, right? I love the game and there's ALOT of content in it, but like...It just seems wasted if it's not built upon, just make it a live service game and include some microtransactions for the longevity of it. I pray it's not coming to a close, but until i hear something directly from the dev, i'll probably put this game on pause, just so i know i'm not wasting my time.

It was when i clicked the previous patches/button update in game, the first thing i seen was the 1.0 release and then the information afterwards that the ONLY updates that were coming were localisation updates.

Also, do you see the game continuing being updated for the foreseeable future past the current roadmap?

Not true, Runescape wasn't originally on Steam until a year ago, it still hosts its own Launcher separately away from Steam, therefore, Runescape still outweighs Melvor Idle, although in the case of Steam and active players, yes, Melvor Idle is winning in that case
