Report a translation problem
I think there is a setting that allows for 'offline' mode to be activated when the game is minimized/in the background/etc. This might work for you? I'd personally prefer not to rely on that kind of mechanic, though.
I've done it this way because I didn't think it would make a difference, so leaving it open just saves me those few seconds each morning where I don't have to open the game, but I'll just start closing it if it doesn't work tonight.
I also don't really take note, I only noticed this time because I had just started getting into fishing and knew I should have been above level 10 after a whole night doing it :P
I would accept that, but sleep has been working for me for almost a month, and I know for a fact it has made progress on most of those days. It should treat it exactly the same as if the game was closed and the pc off.
