Thieving is too hard to upgrade

I feel thieving is the slowest skill to upgrade out of all other skills (except for combat skills), especially in high lv. What's the best choice to train thieving?

I think I was in the 70's before patch and maxed it after patch. What I did was start with the easiest npc and farmed him until I got their unique drop and moved to the next. Quite a few of them drop items that boost your stealth. The key for me was switching npc's after I got their drop to start working on the next drop for more stealth upgrades.

craft gentle hands potions, steal golbin mask from golbin chief, get gloves of silence from thief (runic ruins), steal thiever's cape from thug/marauder, equip all the thieving/stealth items mentioned, grind stuff that is high up but also with high success rate (e.g. 80%+), because an unsuccessful attempt is ~6 seconds downtime with no XP owned every time.

I went from lvl10 to 99 in 3 days or so? Don't know exactly because I was also doing other stuff in between, I don't think it's too bad, if you stack on stealth and grind high XP+success targets.

Yeah, but theiving makes up for it by actually being rewarding, so I don't mind it. Cooking however, is awful. They make this huge push for passive cooking and perfect cooking, but. Passive cooking still produces less HP/Hour then cooking did before the update even if you min/max it, and items that are passive cooked can't be perfect cooked. IT's such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ update for the skill, killed it entirely, I just used a save editor to give myself 999999999 whales and swordfish so I would never have to touch the skill again.

no cheat player here - maxing each agility obstacle to 99 mastery was worse by far than your girly man thieving and cooking complaints

For real - and honestly Agility isnt bad.

Come back when you are working on completing Fletching or Crafting.
