How does Agility work?

I am just starting to level agility and I noticed that when I bought the 2nd obstacle it switches between the first and 2nd obstacle course. Is that how the skill works? Lets say you get 10 different obstacle courses does your character switch between the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10th obstacle course over and over?

You are building a course, so it's not really switching between the obstacles, you just run your course over and over

You run the course to raise your agility? But what does agility influence?

It provides passive benefits (and stat reductions), allowing you to focus on making progress in certain areas to the detriment of other areas. You can do things like shorten the respawn timer, improve food efficiency, improve mastery or skill xp, combat accuracy and the like.

It's also an incredible early game gold-maker. I wish I started with it as my first unlock for adventure.
