In the end it really doesn't make a huge difference as you will likely do everything eventually - especially if you are going for the Achievements and the Cape of Completion.
More specifically, I would absolutely focus on the Ancient Claw fragments first since that is just an all-around good weapon. After that, I would idle on gaining the Amulets in order to work towards Zodiac and get XP for any combat skills and Summons you haven't maxed. If you are being more attentive to the combat, switch to the VC to try for Ancient Armor pieces (especially the shield).
My two cents at least :)
Nothing beats ancient magicks when it comes to kill rate and farming the fury with with Slicing Winds or Icicle Volley would be a lot faster.
