Because it gives a lot of WC xp, and t's worth a lot more when you use it for fletching?

Redwoods are there for the highest Woodcutting XP/hr but low GP/hr.
Magic Logs are there for the highest GP/hr, but low XP/hr.

Redwoods make up for it later by being using for making Dragon Javelins.. the typical route a lot of people take to get enough gold for the Party Hat for 100% item completion.

This post completly disqualifies the game for me.

I thought "50% of the content is terrible balanced, maybe its just debug values as this is this an early access game."

Not everything needs to be better in every aspect than the tiers prior. If that was the case, what would be the point be in having low tier items at all? Everyone would just move on to the next thing they unlock and then never touch anything else again.

Doing it this way introduces some variety/options and I think that it is good game design. Would love to see designs like this more.
