I'm sorry, but I have to refund this...
First of all, I do support honest developers, and while this game was in fact quite appealing, and even showed promises with a high number of players and engagement on discussions I personally was quite left out of all of it

Why? Because the damn thing just wouldn't work on my system at ALL.

My specs: Windows 7 Max, i53470, RX 588. I have no clue how this game of ALL idle free games on steam just wouldn't work. I have no issues whatsoever running any other game here on steam. This thing starts and then just automatically minimizes itself and still runs in my background eating up 25% of my CPU, so I have to shut it down through task manager, I can't play it at all. At other times it doesn't even start at all, it just shuts down by itself instantly when I click "Play"

Seriously, what is this? I have tried everything I could, I turned off steam overlay, disabled AMD radeon relive, turned off skype, poweriso, utorrent, even my MSI afterburner, restarted my PC a whole bunch of times, moved the game to different HDD, it simply won't work, like, ever

The only way I can possibly play this game is to play through a Melvor Idle.exe in steam folder itself, that thing runs PERFECTLY fine, doesn't even drop any frames, nor does it shut itself down and work in background, or not start at all. No issues there

So that's basically it. I was able to get the game, and now I still have the folder, with that said .exe file, and I can still play the game even though I refunded

I understand some people will be disappointed with such a decision but what was I supposed to do? I felt like a neutered dog, because my playtime doesn't accumulate, I trigger no achievements etc.

So yeah, I'll maybe actually buy this when the issue is resolved, cuz I don't want to spend money to feel castrated and getting an inferior product to everyone else

p.s. game is quite weird though. I literally just fished for days, got myself millions of gold, and now I don't even know what to do, really. Is there no "abdication/reset/reincarnation" system at all? Because it feels like, this, being an idle game, is just way too short for you to actually max out everything and you don't even need everythign in this game when fishing is already so damn OP

Just.... maybe make leveling a bit slower? Cuz I literally got to lvl 90 in fishing quite fast, in like 48-72 hours. By idle game standards it's just way too fast, and progressions and fish selling prices were getting increased like crazy

If anyone played Anti-Idle on KG, you would know "fishing" system from there. It's quite long to get max mastery and all that and getting every single Rank (max 50 or 60) felt like an actual achievement. In here you don't really feel anything, you start fishing a new fish, with mastery 1, come back after a couple of hours, and it's already like 50, and gets no junk at all. You don't really feel the accomplishment, but maybe that's just me

The fact there's ANY issues on this game when it's 14.50 on steam yet FREE on browser is a slap in the face. Yet there's TONS of issues on steam. Anyone who paid for an inferior product to browser version got scammed.
But there are issues on browser too. It's not a finished game and Malcs already confirmed the Steam client would continuously be updated. I dunno about you, but when I see "Early Access" I expect to see an unpolished game getting progressively better the more it's worked on, that's kinda how this whole process works. The fact he showed up here to apologise and promised to look at the issue really makes your response seem quite unreasonable.

People always bring up the "92 is the halfway point" not thinking about that you have plenty of better skilling methods unlocked so its way past half way.
Doesn't change the fact that it's still half way to 99. Just because you have better XP methods doesn't change the XP amount you need.

Have you been able to try the game again? It's amazing compared to how it was 4 years ago when you tried it. Maybe it works now. Maybe you have a new or updated system that is finally compatible. If anything, you could always try {LINK ENTFERNT} to see if it's an issue with steam directly, or try buying on Epic.

Yeah... this game definitely isn't fast. I've been playing for months, and leave it open for a few hours to do a few things here and there, and make sure to open at least once a day so the 24 hour cap isn't overcapped too much.
The only thing I have at level 120 is Township, and that pretty much happens on its own. It's worth it for the casual tasks.
As far as skills go though, this is runescape, but without any moving. This isn't your typical idle game where there's rebirths. It's essentially the same game. More RPG than Idle game.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
