Right now I am running Crow/Bear and making runes. I have the Crow and Synergy Bonuses and technically I have the Bears bonus to Herblore, but it doesnt do anything because I am making runes. On the other hand, if I were fighting with Wolf/Minotaur I would have both bonuses and the Synergy all working at once.
Im interested in where the idea for #1 came from - why would the first Familiar be doubled?
Thanks.
Yeah thats why its hard to check. With Crow/Salamander maybe it will display, but i havent unlocked this synergy yet.
Idea behind #1 is because of activation cost of two tablets for familiar 1.
Oh, I see - that makes sense. Its actually more straightforward than that. It uses 2 tablets because it uses one for its effect and then one for the synergy.
Going back to my Crow/Bear combo - it should use 1 for Crow and 0 for Bear whenever I make a rune. It used one instance of the Crow power (so it counted as 1) and nothing for using the Bear power (because it doesnt apply in this case). It then uses 1 from Crow and 1 from Bear for the Synergy cost.
So every time I make a rune it costs Crow x2 and Bear x1.
If we look at the Wolf/Minotaur example it would be x2/x2 because both Familiars apply to the attack and then both pay the synergy cost.
