Stuck at Ticket Deputy quest

The lady informs the elderly conductor that she needs to check one more person, but I have already checked everyone she can communicate with, except for the Grumpy Old Man ("I don't get paid enough") and the person in the restroom. Both of them are unavailable for conversation.

I can choose to give up, but I'm uncertain if that's the only solution in my current situation.

Any ideas?

This one was tricky! My advice: don't interact with the grumpy man until the day you need to check tickets, that way she won't have been upset by his previous behaviour. The person in the toilet is a sports fan, his ticket has been checked by 'the boss'

I wouldn't have known to do that before the Ticket Deputy mission.

If choice and consequence are essential aspects of gameplay, I support them. However, games must avoid setting players up for failure due to uninformed choices, which undermines good game design.
