So i usually turn my roguelikes into roguelites by backing up saves after giving it a fair run playing "properly" then i play it the way i have fun. If it has a good meta progression system (rogue legacy etc) i'll play normally.
still i dont feel bad about it. it was not the first death of this kind - not knowing how the game works. the bridge was the same - i did not know i can walk on water, so i died from infection, while wandering all over the place, looking for a path. at the radio tower i also died because the zs got homed on me, no matter i was "hidden" and overwhelmed me.
id guess ill fail like that again...
It sure is, easily the cheapest cheap shot in the entire game and putting it so far at the end of the run is devilish.
hell, i failed my first try again. probably scripted, like the tutorial.
nah, the bot was just using a wall hack :\

or... i had this one detour trapped mission earlier in hell, but i saw the trap and got prepared - no problemo.
