Game is fine even right now. Some stuff are frustrating like not able to hit enemy on higher grounds. But still game is fun and playable

Nah, I'm happy with my purchase, the game is fun and addictive, the difficulty is well balanced.
There are issues such as very few bugs (from my standpoint), unbalanced gameplay choices and some corrections to be made but the Devs are present in this forum and they seems to have taken most points. It remains to be seen how they'll be addressed in the next patch.
But overall, it's good, I don't regret the money, not a single second.

While I'm absolutely happy with my purchase in seeing the series return, there are definitely problems that can be a huge turnoff for a lot of people.

The game looks good, but not so good that it should have performance issues. My friend has top-of-the-line hardware (3080ti, ryzen threadripper, etc) and still gets lag spikes in rain and in heavy population areas. The game simply doesn't have good optimization yet.

The bugs are mostly quite minor, but there are a few game-breaking ones like being wedged in doorways and behind props when pushing physics props sometimes. You'll also be disappointed if you came from Union City expecting character building, all progression is permanent except for mutations, which are just okay.

better to wait for fixes, some of the bugs are game breaking and can end runs pretty fast.
It's pretty bad when in a zombie shooter you can shoot anything lower or higher than you.
Other bugs include map generation, you could have antizin outside the playable map or just no useable items for 2-3 maps.
Worth checking out after the first patch

Amazing purchase for me.

I have 100% completed what there is currently to do. Well worth getting, really addictive.

There are of course some issues such as with some of the aiming with enemies on higher or lower ground, items can block your way (some can be moved easy and others cannot) and among other bugs. But it's not game breaking.

In terms of performance, had no issues on a 2080ti, Always above 60fps. Not sure what these comments are about bad performance.
There are some RNG related problems, but other than that it's a pretty good game. Just hit level 100 and think it's worth a buy although I hope it gets a bit more fleshed out.

I say buy it. I was hesitant at first the initial batch of reviews but I think the game is awesome. Around the 4th or 5th run was when I realized the game was more complex than first meets the eye. I'm 20 hours in and still haven't completed the campaign but loving every minute. I think part of the problem was I didn't realize there were 5 upgrade trees, I maxed out the entire first page (stamina, resistance, etc) before I realized there were whole separate pages of skills.

Waiting for the first patch is certainly reasonable, especially if it comes in quick fashion, like the next few days.

I really like the game in its current state. Yes there are bugs, like explosives not dealing any damage at all, molotov cocktail being really weak, can't shoot enemies below/above you. But it's still very enjoyable game. Even with the bugs I did play it for about 19 hours now and enjoyed it.
Some things are very weird like carrying only 1 extra antivirus serum like if we didn't try to live as long as possible.

That's to make the game less boring and easy.

So you have to plan more carefully. Such as not sticking around on maps too long, looking at the map and choosing routes/locations carefully. Such as in my 40 hours of experience you'll most likely find RNG Anti-Viral spawns on certain maps over others. Sure it's all RNG and you can still find them at random but some maps I've never/only a few times seen an anti-viral spawn.

Yeah, I'm enjoying the game as it is. Yes, it's got some minor bugs & annoyances. But what game these days doesn't? (honestly, feels like Big AAA Games have worse/more bugs)

(and for more totally anecdotal non-evidence. . . I'm on a Ryzen 5 3600 + RX570. Yes, I get 40-50 fps on busy screens, but I've not noticed any kind of lag spikes. Not maxed out, of course.)

Well it also makes the stealth in this game totally useless since it's all the time race with time, your main focus is getting antivirus serum and keep moving on ASAP.I Wish we had more time to explore each map and loot things but that's not really happening
Stealth angle never seemed to be intended for the long run. If it was, they would not have included ways to make you so powerful in melee combat. You're usually past the stage where you need to hide by your fourth or fifth run.
