That game is not called aftermath for nothing, after all.
It takes about 10hours to get to the point where you are finding everything you need in the first area.
The second area is even more sparse so will need more ammo there.
Another trick is to have 3-4 guns with all calibers, you can also repair damaged guns/melee at workbenches
There are perks for this.
There are methods (and perks) for this.
There are perks for this.
Yes, to buy/unlock perks to make life easier the more you progress.
To generate resources, to unlock perks/equipment/stock/benefits -- to make life easier and push further into the city to uncover more shenanigans.
You can unlock extra loot nodes, extra armory resources for new volunteers, even outright buy ammo and weapons before you leave, nevermind tools to open otherwise locked or buried parts of the map for even more goodies, not to mention levelling up increased loot/ammo rates, higher damage (which saves ammo), increased drops, etc
But yeah -- if you're just going to quit at the first few hurdles (in a roguelike no less), then you're not going to reach that point.
See above.
There are perks (and methods) to handle this. The whole concept is that you're on an inevitable death-timer that can be prolonged (at best). It's on you to make the most of that time -- and to unlock things that help you with that. Mutations provide you bonuses to off-set your lower max-HP. You're meant to push as far as you can go, then utilize everything you've learned on a new volunteer to try and do better than the last.
Perks. I have barely scratched the surface in terms of said perks and I'm swimming in ammo and resources.
There's nothing stopping you from finding tonnes of bullets and even starting brand new runs by equipping unlocked MG's and using bullet-finding perks and equipment stocks so you can zip around mowing down zombies.
Anyone who actually makes an effort to progress will reduce all the problems you've described, but they'll never learn this if they throw it in the trash bin before actually playing it first.
Make a silencer from drinking a water flask (clean or contaminated) then add tape and you got a silencer for pistol, can be made without a crafting table
Don't think of your character as an individual, think of all of your characters as a collective working toward a goal - thats how its meant to be played. Each character's goal is to make it easier for the next one. Its a really good loop if you spend enough time at it.
It's not a bad game, just not a pure action game. You can run and gun at times in this game but that's only after you've built up an arsenal of weapons and ammo. Otherwise it's a one way ticket to becoming zombie chow. Try using stealth and distractions to start with, using a bottle or brick can reduce a fight from a horde to a few zombies, or even avoid a fight altogether. That'll make getting infected/mutated less of a danger and give you more resources to work with.
Look, i won't call the game trash, because it s really not, but i agree with you that most of the times it feels very boring and pointless.
I just want to know if they are going to adress all of these design problems that people are relating.
I played the demo and based in what i ve read untill now, it didn't changed much.
I would suggest that the devs read this review, so they can work on the main design issues:

Also, i m going to buy the game, as a gesture of trust, because i believe that they will work on these problems and enhance the game.
The game takes place in the beginning of the outbreak and not 15 years after, you have a choice to play Run and Gun or Survivor Mode, you level up and put points into various skills and have some classes to choose when starting a new game.
The zombies actually look like zombies and the game has great atmosphere. It's exciting.
I agree that it's wrong of me to call Last Stand Aftermath trash, but it's nothing like the previous games really.
I really hoped it to be like Last Stand Union City but with 3d, that is the dream :P
Maybe a remake of Last Stand: Union City at some point? That would be sweet!
decent weapon for the start of a run.
(Or combine Melee Parts (Tape+Scrap) with a Pipe...)
Make a silencer asap (empty plastic bottle + tape), fix your starter weapon with scrap (and hopefully you picked a 9mm one) and you should have less problems. 9mm ammo is not really scarce (havent upgraded % yet).
The Game saves everytime you enter a new area. Maybe understand some basics before writing a review...
I just wanna find awesome guns, ammo and just shoot zombies. Loot stuff etc.
This game really reminds me of the Zombie Shooter series.
The mutation mechanic/feature was a misstake, not having one character you play as and progress a story was another misstake. Honestly I find it all very confusing and wierd. You play as a character, die and then suddenly there is a new character everytime to choose from and you do it all again but keep the stuff you found for some reason.
Maybe if the game got an Run and Gun mode at some point I could enjoy the game and actually have fun, but at this point I just can't. I don't want to be forced to sneak and go stealth because the devs wanted me to do that. I want to be able to kill every zombie!
And melee weapons breaking so fast is just ridiculous, altough I understand that it would be pretty op if they didn't break, but they definately break too easy.
Yeah, a Run and Gun mode would have been sweet.
Lot's of ammo, no stupid mutation to worry about and melee weapons would last very long!
