they can auto generate NPC groups where we can interact with. We can visit their base and help out or raid them. Don't even need multiplayer. They can also allow NPC hostile groups to try to raid our base also. That and along with zombie horde raiding our base. So us trying to keep a group alive, building defensive structure and protect ourselves, finding food and rare/unique gear would have been awesome.
I don't like the idea of having my survivor(s) getting killed. I'm one of those people that enjoy developing a bond with my character as I level up him/her to make'em stronger. So when I found out that our survivors are doomed from the start, I just sort of loss all motivation to try this game. I should have watched a demo before buying this game. I bought the bundle so it has the other dead zone games (including union city). I never played the previous dead zone games.
I know there's a survivor zombie game that might not be similar to dead zone the last stand but try Survivalist Invisible Strain. It's available on steam for cheap. It does have multiple players so you and your wife can play it. You can build a base pretty much anywhere. Fence it up and equip your survivors with weapons to fight off the undead and raiders.
You can also recruit more survivors to your group. You can grow your crops to feed your survivors. You can also hunt rabbits for food. Skin it and cook it up.
thanks for posting this, and thanks also to all that wrote recommendations, I also expected that aftermath was a game something closer to dead zone. I will look into the games that fellow gamers suggested.
This is the problem I've come across. I played DZ during the beginning back when it was on FB and later in it's life on NG (I really wish I played it more), I've played most of the games everyone reccomends but none of them scratch that specific itch like DZ. Pretty much no game really comes close to the specific *feel* that DZ gave.
