Abduct-o-Beam?
How do I just drop what I've abducted? I keep failing the Cult of Arkvoodle mission where you're supposed to place vans on the roofs because it hurls the vans at the buildings, destroying them.

But I'm trying not to slam it or throw it. Just drop it. As I said, it generally destroys the building, which results in a mission failure, or destroys the vehicle, which doesn't count towards completing the mission apparently.

Don't hold down the right mouse button, press it once then press it again to drop the vehicle close on top of the buildings. If you hold it down- the beam will turn red which means you will throw it or slam it down.

I'm having this problem too. I'm not holding down RB and the beam is blue. While I'm holding it (not charging it), the van is shaking all over the place and when I let it go, the van either slams into the building or flies off in a random direction.

I just did it, actually you have to tap once when you grab the van, same to drop it gently
if you press too long to grab next press it will throw it with force.

That's what I'm doing. The van still still flies off in a random direction when I press the button again.

While still holding the object, press F on the keyboard or Y on a controller to cancel it. It should turn black to blue and allow you to drop it.

i just discovered what to do, you need to click once the click and then used control and click again to let the van fall down. it will not fly away this time

I was doing exactly what you were doing and they were still flying off in any direction. I'm pretty sure it's a bug. However I think i got it working now. I don't know what did it, but one of these things fixed it for me: I verified the integrity of the game files (everything was normal), I set the frame rate limit from [off] to [120], I turned off NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency, and I changed FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 from [off] to [Quality]. After that if I picked up cars with the abducto-beam, they would stop jerking around if I kept the ship still for a few seconds. Also the game has been running better in general after doing this.

I was testing around with this, no matter the quality settings I had, even without a beefy PC, just changing FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 to Quality, Performance or Ultra Performance resolves the shaking for the Abducto Beam entirely, well, quality for me and for obviously the above which stated it, it does come with a temporary shake sometimes but after a while it calms down, but performance and ultra performance definitely negates the abnormal shake, at least for me

Good Luck & Have Fun :smiling:

Thank you! This did the trick!

absolute legend, it works, in summary FPS cap to 120, NVIDIA Reflex low latency to OFF, FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 to QUALITY, just incase anyone else has this abduct o beam shake still
