cant bait longline

cant bait hooks i have bait above the trawl click e it goes full circle but still says unbaited

Maybe not enough bait. 500g last for 250 hooks.

yes, one "circle" baits 500 hooks (think it is one big bag of 20kg - don't take my word)
- if you have bigger long line - 1000 or 2500 hooks
- you need to do few more "circles"
(pressing "E" few times in a row..)

Or it is a bug. Had an 20kg bag used for times after using it a new session it baited 250 hooks and was then gone.

same here, cant bait put on the longlines. In older version it worked flawless

OK, figured something out: Move the Bait to player, then u can use it to put it on the line.

yes - this is new in 0.7.5 - you spend baits now ..
previously - on 0.7.2 - you got one and it lasted forever ..
(but don't worry - it is more than compensated with your first catch ..)

on good side - you also have "company" inventory now - and you can move things - so you don't necessarily need to spend skill points for bigger personal inventory
(didn't tested all possible options ..)
(side note - with new NET fishing - you will also get XP and plenty of skill points ..)

There was an issue that caused all previous 'boat' inventories to vanish.
(not related to fish catch) but items like tools - perhaps bait stored there as well would disappear because the storage slots were not visibly apparent. Don't know if this has been fixed yet - but if not, I remember that you can now fill the screen with storage items. I wouldn't store to much there though (if it still works) because the fix could wipe out those inventories.

I have no issues with baiting, longlinefishing works great.
10Kg bag baits 500 hooks, and 20Kg 1000 hooks, so You need two 20Kg bags and one 10Kg to bait 2500 hooks.
You can store a lot of bait in the company, and move it from company to user when You need it.

some how i ended up with 2 hooks in inventory i sold 1 and now i can bait

You need an empty slot on player inventory and place the bait there before for bate the hocks.

Had this same problem, I tried to bait the lines at sea and it got to 2,000 out of 2,500 baited and wouldn't bait the last. Tried baiting them while at port and it worked so I guess it's a bug.

I have the same issue but at port. Stops at 2,250. But with me it doesnt work at sea either. Have anyone figured out what this is?

It was some time ago - and I am guessing - you probably had some leftovers (of bait bags) - when you switched longlines - from 2500 to 1000 or 500 ?
- and your present bag of baits won't allow you to bait your bucket full .. ?

- buy a smaller bag(s) of bait (can't remember now if it was 10 or 5 kg)
- and you will be able to fill your bucket with baits to full capacity ..
