Tend to agree, the big waves are not the problem - though some overall adjustment to physics is required. The problem in general is the when and where. Right now... too often for my personal taste. In my short time playing this game there was not one run without the big crashing waves. The really big ones should be reserved to storms, plus an intermediate which is not as strong, but can occur on rare occasions even during good weather conditions. But thats just my two cent.
And if you read my post, I asked for boats to be fixed OR dim the seas until they are. It's less about the seas, the problem is the boats - and until the boats are made to operate correctly and/or the long-line and netting pickup routine changes (larger AOE for example), the seas should be turned off.
And yes, it is the frequency of rough seas that is the problem and I point this out in my review. In patch notes devs says forward time 12 hours. When you do that for 5 days, each time waiting for the boat to stop carrying on, just so you can click the clock to 'rest', the fun wears off real quick. Worse when seemingly your long-lines and the catch are on a timer. Do that 3 or 4 times, with seas also changing on you enroute, it's an unnecessary slog inviting shelving.
Fact is, early access is a 2 way street. If you know you have a problem and you know most people are unhappy about it, declaring future 'solutions' is all well and good, but you should consider a revert so people can continue to play and give feedback - which is the whole point of early access.
Those 'enjoying' these seas are not long-lining or netting. Sure, I can play fish farms all day too and just go out into the ocean for my fun, but making $12m for just 20,000 farmed fish is not much of a challenge once you own everything is it?
