Longline fish question
So I am really confused.. not sure if its a bug or intended.

I dropped a long line, was able to hook 0 fish...

dropped a second longline, hooked 2 fish.

checked ship inventory and it says this:
Halibut - 24 (690.6st)
Cod- 351 (386.3st)
Cod- 57 (313.8st)

how do I get that from hooking 2 fish? is it bugged?

The hooking is meant to be representative. At least thats my interpretation.

is the "st" supposed to represent some sort of weigh or displacement? not familiar with that term

I would say that in this case its referring to it as pieces. The game is developed in Norway and Norwegians and Swedes abbreviate pieces (Stykk) to St. So in english it should be pcs.

"st" might refer to the measurement of Stones, tho, not sure why that's being used.

but yeah it's weight. and yeah, you're setting 500 to 2500 hooks, but only have to click on maybe 10-20 fish on a full line, they basically condense all the fish down like that, each one meaning several bunches of fish.

Ok makes sense, thanks for the info.

i tried this just now, most of the fish still gets onboard even if you missed, well in real life you dont necessarily need to hit fish with the hook so i hope it stays that way

I got 0 fish on board the ship on my first line, missed them all. you do however get lots of fish for each fish you do hook. I just posted my results of 4 lines in the general chat.

The fish hooking is bonus, if you dont hit any you still get fish but if you hook them successfull you get more. So dont worry if you hook none, you still get fish.
st doesnt make sense there.... ah maybe if its set to imprial it shows stones as weight? i have kg there and i guess most people set it so they have kg there.

The fishing results vary greatly. In one site i casted 5 1000 hook lines (first one and then all 4) and brought back 56t/ 1.6mio worth of fish, on the second fishing spot icast 8 lines and brought back 15t/250k of fish.

Interesting... the first line I pulled in I missed all fish.. 0. when I checked boat inventory there were no fish in it after first line.. I hope its what you say and you get fish no matter if you miss.

it's either Stones or "Short Tones" My guess is it's ment to be tonnes as in 1,000 kg, but i'm not sure what the relation if using pounds, it may still be moving 2000 lbs to imperial tons. but, who knows. mybe the S in there is just a weird typo
