I just finished the game with a regular ending, it hints at a possible "secret" ending/goal?
So, I just beat the game with the burn the discount ending, and am aware of the other regular endings you can get with different choices in the final weeks, such as getting rescued and meeting Apperton. The achievements list detail a number of possible endings with different conditions.

In the endgame of my branch, there was a discussion with Hunt about eating the peach and rewinding and making different choices. There was in particular one of three notes in that room that detailed "she MUST NOT have it!". I'm presuming this refers to not letting Apperton get the peach, and perhaps the Viscount more broadly. Is the rewind peach useful for obtaining any unique endings or info outside of apparently the "Worth your salt" achievement ending? It feels like there's a big alternate universe / time travel meta-plot being introduced with the peach and Hunt, but I'm not sure where it's explained or leads to anything much further than what I saw. If all it does is let you unlock the many branches more easily in order to obtain the different endings already outlined in the achievements list, then that's fine, but I wanted to ask you guys if there's anything more than that.

Like, with the conversation with Hunt, he seemed to have some goal or something in mind that he wanted me to do or change in particular, perhaps to "change the future" or outcome, to achievement a "particular timeline", although he's vague about it. I don't know if there's a bigger picture here that's explained at some point, or it's just an explanation to why he wants to burn the Viscount no matter what. I was getting the sense he was trying to get me to rewind and make particular choices to trigger a certain path.

Same question. Fruit is basically making this game your average visual novel, where you can reach all endings and thus you'll unlock some ultra mega true ending, which is going to place a big fat dot at the end of your story.

If there is some kind of true ending after reaching all endings, then it is really a motivation to open everything (for me). But if it is just a more convenient way to travel branches, then... well, okay. A little bit sad, maybe. But okay.
Yes, exactly.

Hey there, currently the two main pieces of meta content involve the ||Terminus|| and ||Worth his Salt|| achievements and what it takes to unlock them, though we've also kept things intentionally set up the way they are for potential future content additions to the game

Can't wait!

Interesting, thanks for the response guys. Yeah, the initial sense I got when talking to Hunt at the end was he was trying to get to get to some particular timeline for some reason

Interesting. I got Terminus in my first playthrough without eating the fruit . Is it possibly a bug?

Terminus involves convincing hunt to sail home with you on the Viscount willingly, assuming you've kept everyone alive, and made it clear to him you have no intentions to bring the tree to minerva, sounds like you did well!
Does anyone know how to save Junior's boat? everything was fine up until that point [\spoiler]

The boats, and their outcomes are calculated based on the number of afflicted crew members you distribute between each, if a single boat has too many afflicted crew, it won't make it. (there's a few other things at play, but that's the biggest factor.)

I played it with my cousin and we got the Terminus ending, I assumed the tallies on the paper would be the number of times those crew members have either died or failed to burn the tree? Either way I found it humorous that if it does in fact refer to deaths then the good doctor has actually died the least times tied with the Kennel Master.

I think since our name has no tallies we probably never die in any iteration where the expedition reaches the island. I think Hunt failed the expedition every time in so far as losing several members with each attempt never being good enough to actually pull through so he ate the fruit every time he reached the island and as such because we stayed alive each time he decided to let us captain to see if we could do better than him and considering that for me and my cousin only Kurt died I think we're implied to be better than Hunt because we are able to save everyone if we make the right choices.
I don't really understand how I can achieve Terminus. If I decide to burn the Tree that means I can't return to civilization on Viscount. If I am to travel back on Viscount, then I shouldn't burn the Tree, but that means I'll give the Tree to Minerva, no?

I tried to burn it, but Cordell told me it would damage Viscount. So I changed my mind. But now I am just sitting there and thinking what to do. Should I replay it? I have everyone alive, loyal, Hunt is with me and I told him that he will sail as a free man with us... I am basically lost at what game wants me to do

Sailing home on the tree isn't a guarantee that you'll give the tree to minerva, outside of having everyone alive, the game is checking to see if you've signalled to hunt at any point that you would consider giving minerva the tree. Telling him about the minerva ending, can also stop Terminus from occurring unless you select a specific set of options with hunt after the fact

There's also some guides players have been putting together for the achievements

I have bug to report. I said we should burn the Tree, Cordel (my first mate now) told not to, so I answered "yeah, you are right we won't". After that I see a screen where I can send a boat and talk to crewmembers before that. And they react as I've actually burned the Tree. Kasha directly says that she can't believe we've found it and burned it
