Replayability seems like it would give you a chance to go back through and change early decisions, though at the same time you can always use the saved tree system to change impactful day-to-day decisions.
wow I'm struggling to survive feeding everyone AND fueling the furnace, any tips?
Some good strats are to let people get freezing, knowing you can deploy your engineers to the furnace. You can also grind med slots with the item selection, plundering the temperance and by retraining the stowaway as a doctor (or engineer)
The med bay can also cure freezing, frostbite, malnourishment and scurvy! Might help free up some of your food resources
hmmm thanks, i'll try that next time and see if i survive
You don't need decorum at 100, so when it's anywhere near that number you should be saving on fuel.
Heat = more important to save than food.
Food = easy to fill, heat isn't. You should be able to still have coal through to the late-game if you manage it well.
Also, check the animal resources, one of the seals is better off as fuel, the penguins are always more cost-effective as food.
"Ale" is a trap - demoralisation can be solved with Kasha. Ale doesn't add to food, it just cures a random demoralised. It is 10 fuel though, so put the booze in the furnace.
