Different developer?
Why is this published under Deck Nine instead of Dontnod?

Short answer: Deck Nine took over as official Life Is Strange developers, so they develop all new LIS projects, including the remasters.

Longer answer: the Life Is Strange IP belongs to the publisher, Square Enix, and DontNod have parted ways with them. Meanwhile, Deck Nine developed Before the Storm, so they've inherited the series more generally.

Yep, it's a shame, Dontnod were superior developers, as shown by the mess that the Remastered editions launched in and remained for months.

I'm not sure that follows - the original versions of Before the Storm and True Colors both launched in good shape. The problem with the Remastered editions seems more like a problem with making a rushed port without putting resources into it than one of Deck Nine's capability in general. Does anyone know if the non-Windows versions have the same problems as the Steam release?

I think the wrong company gets credit this way. The delopment has been done by DontnoD, Deck 9 only remastered it (which is a kind of polishing an development).
