Ultimate Edition - No 2022 DLC - 2021/2022 Mod & DLC Easy Fix Guide

So, you bought NH5 for the first time during the sale and you elected to buy the UE version to get most of the content only to find out none of the DLC works. Yep, you've read posts and see the nightmare this has been.

I have a curated solution for those who want all their DLC back but do NOT want to purchase the crappy 2022 DLC (not included in UE or GE version thank goodness). This easy method is also the prerequisite to get the original Ozzycon 2021 or 2022 mods to function 100% (even with preexisting Career saves). I tested everything on Steam Deck but the process is identical for PC.

This particular guide method will save you the bandwidth of having to revert back to the old version of the game (that method can be found here if interested: https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-downgrade-steam-games/). Reverting back to the old base game is NOT required, hence the point of this guide.

This method is based entirely from the update "patch" provided by @Gold, all credits to him for this. I simply experimented until I got everything working including the beloved 2021 mod from the Ozzycon group.

Step 1 (prerequisites and backup your game): IMPORTANT - this entire guide is intended for those folks who do NOT have the 2022 DLC (the next gen car DLC). If you have that DLC then use @scarzy19's fix (he's one of the mod team members and can be 100% trusted imo) or install the 2023-2023 mod, your choice. Now, with that disclaimer out of the way, make a backup of your entire NH5 game before proceeding. This is obvious and will allow you to revert or correct a mistake. Don't skip this step, please.

Step 2 (get all your DLC back): DL and install @Gold's update patch to fix MSG's June 2023 update issue with your DLC's being al borked. You can find that post and link here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1265860/discussions/0/3814034217011029259/?ctp=4#c3817418793967424144

After you've done that I highly recommend you also make the game's manifest read-only and change the game's update settings. See @Gold's post here for that process: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1265860/discussions/0/3814034217011029259/#c3805027864685288971

Now fire up the game and you should have ALL of your Ultimate Edition DLC back (I did) and your saves made while playing the latest NH5 update aren't effected (my career mode worked just dandy).

Step 3 (Get modded with the 2021 or 2022 OG mods from the Ozzycon Paints group): If you go to the Ozzycon page you will find only the current 2023-2023 mod. You don't want that. Follow the mod's documented instructions, read the entire document.

Step 4 Enjoy: Done. I did not have to delete my game settings/game save files at all. My settings and saves are after purchasing NH5 UE only a couple days ago and now into a 3 season career status, but your mileage may vary.

It does not work for me, I did exactly as was told (With the exclusion of the mod bc I just wanted all the schemes) and nothing changed. Any idea why or how?

I finally figured it out, just dowload the folder, put it into NH5 data (replace files if necessary) and then before you open up the game, put it in offline mode. You can then turn online mode on afterwards. Hope this helps!
