Also set wheel sensitivity to minimum and wheel range to around 80% in the game suited me, but you will have to experiment.
I have a Logitech G27 and it works just fine. Just as the post above me states though, you need to check and make sure that your wheel is set to 900 degrees in the Logitech Gaming Software (outside of the game). Since I already had that setup previously playing other racing games, NH5 immediately recognized it and was just "plug and play".
Also, inside the Logitech Software, make sure you have checked "Enable Centering Spring in Force Feedback Games" and also "Allow Game to Adjust Settings" as well.
In game, obviously make sure you select 900 degrees as well. For all other in-game steering settings I left as default excluding the force feedback strength which I set to one click left of the middle. Just enough to feel the corners but not so much that it makes your hands hurt after a short race.
You just have to realise that racing cars dont have the same steering wheels as road cars. Racing cars have their steering wheels set upto suit the steepest corner on the upcoming course. So racing drivers never ever have to turn the wheel more than 90 degrees.
Once you realise that racing control becomes more sensible. So you definitely don't turn the wheel round and round like you do in a normal road car or a truck in (European Truck Simulator 2).
You never have to take your hands off the wheel at all.
If you go into the control options there is a little configuration screen there that shows you how sensitive you have the wheel and pedals, just use the sensitivity settings etc to make sure you never need to turn the wheel more than 90-100 degrees.
Consider yourself one of the lucky ones. I have done all of this and as soon as I launche the game, the Forcefeedback leaves the wheel and doesn't return.
