How do I enter the pit without spinning out
I've played a lot of racing games, I'm alright at the F1 and Dirt games but this is something else. I can't get into the pit without spinning out.

It goes like this. I back off the throttle, give the brake the slightest tap, car pulls to the right, I correct, I still haven't slowed down at all and then I spin.

I've tweaked my controller setup so the brakes are at the minimum possible sensitivity. The brake bias is reasonable, I'm not downshifting too early or too much. I just can't seem to get into the pits. If I do, it's just luck.

Also, I'm crazy slow around daytona, the car is managing 195mph top, I can't even qualify in a decent place. No idea where to start with setups, none of this makes sense to me.

Thanks, any tips on entering the pits. I simply tap the brakes and I'm gone...if I'm in a pack, everybody around me is gone too.

I'd be interested too. I assume default car setup now. IRL as you pit, rear might be light w less fuel. And braking does a weight shift too. But I'm guessing right front tires would be worn more, left front would grab more and pull to left.

You dont...

But for real...I have no clue. Ive only played with wheel and pedals on expert and enjoying the game a lot but pitting under green have lost me so many races its not even fun...
Ive really tried, even spend some time on training just to practice entering the pits but I just cant do it under pressure.

So I caved, ended up putting on brake assist that helps keep the car steady when braking. Im still scared breathless whenever I need to pit under green but at least now I can do it often without losing too many positions while at it.

Ok so I've done some experimenting. The thing I'm finding most helpful at this point is to keep a bit of power on while braking (so I guess that would be left foot braking which I'm guessing isn't used much in NASCAR). Once the car gets below 120mph you can't really keep doing that and hope to be slow enough for the pit lane so at that point I'm pump the brake rather than try and use it normally.

Are these cars really that loose in real life? This is probably the most difficult racing game I've played and I've played assetto corsa haha

Do you add brake assist just before the pit stop or have it for the whole race?

All the time, I put it on low and kept it that way.

You could probably get away with putting it on medium for the track causing issues or...

It may seem weird but when you pit you can try applying NO gas and shifting to neutral and coasting a bit then shift back up to gear one. Can be tricky but if done right it can save from a spin.

Good idea - that weight shift to front tires when back off gas might be letting rear tires slide sideways.

The cars are terrible physically, so trying to control them is a nightmare. Its always been like this. There is no weight or mass to them. They feel even worse on a road track lol.
