Your own team after joining one in career

Hello, quick question to any of you who might have found this out for themselves in their own play.

In career, I build up my own team, in Xtreme Dirt. After a couple of seasons, I start my own Truck team and in parallel take up an offer to drive for a Dirt team. So I'm driving with my own team in Truck and drive for an existing team in Dirt.

Question: if I at some later point decide I want to do another season with my own Dirt team, do I get my original cars, team, and development/upgrades back, or do I have to start from scratch and re-buy cars, re-hire and re-train mechanics, and re-upgrade my departments?

Thanks in advance if you know and care to share - and I'd appreciate it if you only answer if you know from your own experience playing the game and trying out this scenario. :)
