does this work on occulus quest 2?
Its very confusing trying to figure out what hardware this is compatible with. its not in the occulus store on my headset but it is in the store on the app on my phone and obviously on steam.

I bought it from the app and it started installing on my laptop rather than the headset itself. Does this mean it doesnt work without being tethered to a PC? If I knew that were the case I would have just got the steam version.

This is a PC VR game. It works with Quest 2. I am playing it. It is not a standalone Quest 2 game meaning you must install on you PC and use Quest 2 as a viewing and controlling device to play this game.

That means you've bought it on Oculus store (via the app), if I understand correctly. Just install Oculus drivers (which includes the Oculus store there as well) on the PC and you are good to go, no need to double-buy on Steam. Then you'll have the option of using wireless connection to the PC (Air Link) or wired. (PC or laptop have to be powerful enough to run it ofc).

I wasnt able to get it to run so i returned the oculus store version. Might just wait for the next steam sale to try it here.

like the other said, the game works from Oculus Store but then you need to make sure to run it with the Oculus app and make sure to enable Oculus open XR runtime else it will always try to launch over steam.

Of course if you prefer playing over steam you can buy it directly here. :)

I recently have started using Virtual Desktop. I played Hubris with open XR runtime enabled. Now when I launch Hubris through Virtual Desktop it automatically launches Steam VR. I have looked through the settings but not sure how I stop Steam VR from launching when playing Hubris.

Hi,

VD only works over SteamVR, by now they made several patches to improve the performance to run it like that so normally it should be playable. Preferred ways for best performance is still airlink or link cable.

Kind regards,

Koen

Thank you I will use the link cable. Great game.

Works flawlessly for me using AirLink and a Quest 2.

I picked up Hubris last night and the only issue I had was an incorrect OpenXR setting. The game immediately popped up a web page telling me how to change it.
