Stuck in death loop

I died in the Grond pit in Chapter 2, but now when the checkpoint reloads I immediately die again for no apparent reason. I also tried restarting the level, but the same thing happens.

Is there some way out of this, or do I have to restart the whole chapter?

Good luck, I don't know if there will be any help from this board, but if you find an answer please post it here so the trolls have more things to berate the developers over. (Sorry I'm of no help either)

Hello, OP! I have absolute the same bug on the exact same spot... I fell and died and trying to restart checkpoint, restart level or choosing the level on the main menu always spawn me dieing....

Shame... I was actually having fun with this...

If somebody ever found a way out, please respond to this thread!

tbh your best bet is to restart the game, select it from chapter select, or verify the file integrity (sometimes it helps fix some stuff? idk this game only works when it wants to)

Exact same thing just happened to me in Chapter 2 in the exact same section. It's a horrible game, but I was somewhat enjoying it. I can start a new game which gets rid of the glitch but do I really want to play 2 hours to perhaps have this happen again when I get back to Grond or die elsewhere? Both chapter select and loading leads to the infinite death loop, even when trying different levels.

A few levels later, it's the same thing. When you have to kill Snarr, if you die on that level, you get the same death loop, only this time it's because you consistently respawn outside the game world.

I ended up having to restart the chapter. After this I took regular backups of the save file to avoid having to replay more long parts of the game. I did not encounter more issues after Chapter 2, but from other comments it looks like there are a few more places you can end up in these loops.

After restarting the same chapter for the third time i got stuck in the death loop, and never on the same place; this is frustrating so i give up on this game for now.
Maybe later i'll return and use tha save backup method from Cryptographic but for now is enough.
