I too am liking the game it does a good job with the story and the climbing parts are fun. That chase with the spider was great.
Well you see... It just seems appropriate to crap on a crap game while sitting on the crapper(toilet). Feels thematic with ideas for sentences flowing right out. Some of which are quick posts and others long drawn out explosions of deep thought. Perhaps with some ideas that float around a bit and are hard to put down. Sometimes after your done, said ideas can stick around. Gotta do a few more passes of proof reading to ensure it's a clean read.
Hopefully this post will help you understand where we are coming from, and where we sit in general.
They literally misspelled the name of the game in their original apology as "The Lord of Ring: Gollum™".
That is evidence of the level of passion Daedalic has for the game and its development.

You talk under the assumption that having no interest in playing the game is directly correlated to either having no interest in the franchise or having no interest in discussing the state of the game. It's not.
Not a single Press Review likes it.
Even the Devs said sorry, WHAT more do you want???
And there was for sure ZERO hard *work or passion* put into the Game as we all can see.
Also, the "pay us $3 so the elves can speak elvish" and "pay us $5 and we'll actually add story to this game" Day One DLCs.
It's like being served entrails instead.
