The no death achievement
Can we simply just always load up previous save instead of restarting to the nearest checkpoint to get this?

considering clumsy controls this achievement is nearly impossible to get :gollum:

Whenever the gameover screen showed up, I left the game and restarted the level - and it didn't work, in the end I didn't get the achievement. That's probably because the game tracks your global stats for the achievement, and once you die and the gameover screen appears, your stats are tainted forever. On my 3rd playthrough, I'm now backing up a "clean" state to a separate folder, every level or so, and if I happen to die, I recover both the saves and the stats and start from there; ofc I disabled cloud saving as well. I'm presently on chapter 8, I'll report back when I'm done; but I see no reasons for this method not to work.

Wow it seems almost impossible to do it legit. Looks like I'll have to do the backup method as well. Thanks for the reply

I was planning on doing manual backups too. Let me know how it goes.

This achievement seems super hard to get the legit way, so many tricky plateforms sequences, with sometimes the camera that doesn't help.

Can confirm it works, just unlocked it. I believe you're free to reload and restart levels whenever you like, even after being spotted, or midway to your death on a long fall... as long as you're fast enough to pause and never allow the gameover screen to appear. If this happens, your PlayerStats will show that you screwed up, and the only way to get the achievement would be to start a new save. Perhaps it's possible to delete the file and force the game to generate a new, clean, PlayerStats file while preserving the autosave, but I haven't really tested this method. I'm sharing a file with my latest autosave, right in the final sequence and with my PlayerStats file, give it a try if you wish, to see if the achievement unlocks for you. In theory, it should be enough: https://pixeldrain.com/u/gCpbzS8d ; if you intend to use it, put it in C:\Users\*your login*\AppData\Local\Daedalic Entertainment GmbH\Gollum\Saved\*your steamid*\SaveGames
Don't forget to backup your whole save folder first just in case.

Is it possible that you have all of your saves from this game, not only autosave and playerstats? For me uploading these saves don't do a thing. I also found the whole folder with save files from another guy, but uploading them also doesn't change anything. Do you know if I should do something more instead? I uploaded all the save files into the right folder
