Make your own Videogames....
What type of response is this? Since when can you not critique, or even remotely question a game, or its marketing intention? That's like giving you a faulty car, with a broken exhaust or three wheels and when you complain, just snidely going, "Make your own car".
I for one find this to be a peculiar marketing decision. I love LOTR content, but I never really considered Gollum to be a fan favourite, so it's odd for sure.
The term "Fan Favorite" is different depending on the circumstances
True, but again, LOTR lore is so expansive, with so many varying characters that it's just odd. People like Gollum and the 'My precious' impression is always a laugh, but to base a whole game around him? I don't think the demand has ever been there to warrant this.
I was always interested in the gollum's ambivalent personality.
So i really appreciate this game and I'm curious about it.
Hopefully daedalic managed it to cover gollum's background properly.
All kidding aside, I mean........even if the game was about a fire hydrant........if the game is GOOD, does it matter???
I did.
I want it to represent a very interesting part of Tolkien lore - and some environments that are not covered well in other games.
The idea of exploring stealthily as Gollum - whilst being in that world, just feels interesting to me.
But I guess we'll see.
It's not like the bigger and more flashy games are doing well these days, so maybe a smaller less spectacle-driven title can surprise us in a good way?
Probably not, but who knows.
