This is not a New Line Cinema licensed product, bear this is mind. Those depictions are copyrighted. This is an official LOTR came but it is re-imagined. Yes there are some borrowed tropes from the Gollum depicted in the movies , in particular the may he looks and speaks, but really this is a re-imagining of Gollum from the devs.

+1 looks not good. His face should bring sadness, anger, hobbits joy of old time and they should switch between. But in this game his face looks like cartoon with no expression.

In the hobbit (book), it describes him as "dark as darkness", so even the movies weren't being 100% accurate, and this game is supposed to be more book related, so the devs are obviously just using their imagination to create what they think in their heads what he looks like. (also if they made him look the same in the movies, people would freak out about "copying the movie")

Still looks like a gremlin, there's no bouncing around it... the look of him alone will turn people away from the game

Also the voice is weird, it sound like someone doing a weird and terrible impression of Gollum from the films.
