Also, i realize you guys are busy, but please make a civilopedia (sliplexicon? sliprotocol?). It is pretty hairy getting and remembering specific info by experience (for example, tech leading to other tech before initializing the game, or that projects have only one build)
All of them provide usual benefits of extra income and trade routes count, but are different in other ways.
Energy: replaces any needed resource, which allows to satisfy planets you have no direct ways to satisfy
Culture:
1) Blocks happiness debuff from shortages on receiving planet
2) Prosperous planets receiving at least 1 culture provide extra happiness
Information: no special effect, but way easier to create to use for trade routes/income
Which can help enormously to evolve planets.
And there are several cultural technologies that synergize well together and also have others.
Even though there have been changes where it takes two cultures now to evolve a planet.
