How to set baited lobster pots

I can't seem to get the lobster pot to set into the sea after I bait them. Please help it looks like a fun game but I can't get past this problem no matter what I try.

in 3rd person while driving it will show you what key to hit to set.

for example I bait the pot then go back to my chair and hold B on my controller and it sets the pot...The button has to be held to set it.

Best way is to get a employee and set them to bait then you just motor along slowly and hold the button to set.
