HOTAS Joystick & Throttle - Still cannot set

I have seen 2 updates around joysticks etc but is this going to be fixed soon, as i can't even set any axis or buttons to anything .. it just remains blank and then appears to change settings in the steering wheel .. so weird but please fix this soon as it's getting boring seeing these options but not been able to use them

Yay , another update again today .... Still cannot set axis for steering no matter how hard i try , Guys any help would be great , i can see all devices fine but cannot set axis ... This really feels like its dragging on for a long time :(

I also have a problem to while calibrating any wheel and console. In the main menu I click on calibration then all axis and bottoms are showen. But there is no confirmation bottom to save calibration. Only a cancel bottom is shown. I have tried a reinstall, but no success. Can you please help how to save calibration? Thanks

So full of excitement from the latest updated i go into the game and what do you know ....... IT STILL DOESN'T Work nor can i even change settings or select anything in the menu as my mouse only appears for a millisecond then back to controller settings .. tried to move my controllers (Stated Above Obvs) and still can't even change settings let alone play the game ...

So disappointing after having this game for so long and seeing all the negative feedback and me thinking peeps just annoyed for nothing and now i'm in the same "boat" .. I have a bunch of games and this remains the one and only one having issues with my controllers

We've been trying to reproduce this, but it seems to work fine. So what type of Hotas are you using?

I am only aware of one Hotas Wathog thrustmaster ... And this is still not working even after yet another update #yawn, when trying to change the axis, it just sets to axixs 1 by it's self every time .... (Put all to green, all in default positions and same thing) I have games from steam worth £4 which detect all my inputs and change the settings with complete ease ! this game tho has been ongoing since the beginning of time , most of the time i won't mind but when i get an update saying "improved Controller settings" then still the same issue , well i just can't be bothered to play this game anymore . After all the in game controls for steering are animations of a joystick so why is it so hard to get this working and take this long... I might contact another gaming company and ask them how they did it , might save you some time and get you some extra customers , who knows, i'm not a game developer so what do i know !

You must have the joystick/throttle centered, otherwise it will automatically assign whatever you try to change to that axis. So go into calibration, check the axis so that no one is green nor red, it should be in the middle. Then it should probably work.

I do not have the Thrustmaster Hotas, But i have tried with Saitek Sidepanel, Logitech G25, Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle and Saitek X52 Pro and they all seem to work. but I also had problems with the axis assign themselfs before I figured it out, increase deadzone if the axis is very sensitive. And then ofcourse you have to select the correct joystick type, (steeringwheel/Generic/gamepad etc).

Did you try to untick "Pedals"? The config is maybe not the best, but it seems to work fine with most devices. Could you share a screenshot of your setup and what is not working? Thanks

Thanks for the advice, i will give it a test later and let you know if it solves it..... I still think however this functionality is a little poor and should be able to adjust settings for all inputs (regardless the make or type) significantly easier and not have to wait months on end for updates that are still patchy at best .

Excuse my ignorance but I am a 72yr old ex North Sea fishing skipper who bought the game a couple of days ago. I have a Logitech X56 HOTAS, and a Logitech F310 gamepad. I can see them in the generic option in Controls as (1) & (2) when I click on the calibration box but cannot get either to save a setting. So far I have been playing with the mouse and keyboard which is adequate but would prefer to use especially the F310 gamepad as my X56 is set up for Elite Dangerous. Is it possible for the F310 to be used and how do I set the controls so that they save?.
