New Player, Deepline and Net fishing question
So Im confused about Deepline fishing, on map, my buoys are blue, and there are plenty of swordfish/tuna on the sonar, red buoy is upwhen i approach, but when I pull it in I more often than not get the message "No fish caught, low fish population' or something to that effect. It doesnt make sense.

Also, how can I Net fish with the Borge if there is no room for crew. Is that something I can upgrade that I'm missing? or is the Borge not a net boat anymore?

Thanks!

I have the exact same problem, there will be a bunch of tuna swords and it says low population no fish. Pisses me off maybe try restarting a new game again....

The Borge is only a Long Line boat. The cheapest Net boat is the Sjarken @ $85,000 in Lunenburg & it can be found North of Western Head.
You will get those messages if the water is not over a 103 m deep. The only fishing less than 100 m is Net & Scallop fishing.

I think the sonar settings for deepline are not very accurate at the moment. The best tip I can give is to fish right on top of the tips because the sonar will show fish when there arent any at least not enough to catch one.

Where can I find the Sjarken more precisely in the port?

When your bouys turn blue that's telling you that the buoy has soaked long enough, and it's the perfect time to haul. That doesn't necessarily mean there will be fish in your gear, especially if you set in a bad place.
