How to haul in 5 pot lobster line and what does it mean when it says low population?

I tried spreading my lobster pots to a longer distance and out of like 20 pots i get lobsters in 2/20 and when i set a 5 pot line it wouldn't let me haul it in.I am using the knots guilty which is a lobster only vessel so if anyone knows would love some advice.

low population means find another spot pretty much, can't answer your first question though.

I cant seem to find any area with a good lobster population so for right now I don't think its work investing in lobster fishing yet. If anybody does know what depth and where they tend to be located please let me know.

i loaded into a previous save before i bought the knots guilty and i bought the oceon runner it holds 40 deeplines and they give great money 40 lines picked up could be like 400000 thousand dollars and it probly takes like 30 minutes and it only costs like 680000.

Currently in my save it is April 14th, do you know what depth lobsters tend to be at?

i cant haul the lobster 10 strings, the ring turns yellow and when i press e to haul all i get is haul pot message. not sure if there is somthing you have to change on the deck.

I think its bugged, after hauling in one lobster pot, I cant haul anymore in and the ai has the same problem, we are just going to have to wait for this to be fixed. also at least for me, lobsters arent as abundant as any other animal in the game and I have 20+ hours on the game.

yeah i let it get to the blue color but only get 1 pot with anything out of 10

I had most luck getting them when i used the sonar, but yes the pot hauling seems bugged, had a invisible pot on the table so i couldn't place a pot on it, luckily the ai helper fixed that for me.

How can you afford this already....

I’ve played 7hours - lost a crew mate which set me back £25k and I only had 350k maybe I went harpooning first too long

@steve buy the lenore then deepline it makes about 100k every time you haul in all 12 of them.

ah right, i'm not that far yet - on the lobsters - if you're having trouble getting them in the pots - they are out of season if you check the ingame wiki xD

Same thing with the low population happens to me with lobster. I'm in april at start of season. I've tried several and I mean several areas all over the map. Each time I haul 1 pot then the rest of the string pops up "no fish were caught. Low population". It happens on every single string. So I am fairly certain that Lobster is really bugged right now.

edit: And as far as I can tell im doing it right. It's in season {april} I wait for the pots to turn blue as it says. But each and every time I haul 1 single pot then the rest it says {Low population}

Ive had that problem too, I think the devs need to edit the abundance of lobsters or something with the # of lobsters to make it worth while. Also it is only the second day and they have already said there is an update on the way so hopefully that fixes it.
