How do I tell the difference between male and female lobsters?

How do I tell the difference between male and female lobsters? I keep getting fined for catching female or undersized lobsters. I've found articles online pertaining to REAL lobsters that reference the size and back of the tail, but in this game the tails look the same.

I dont remember female lobsters being a thing but in the wiki on the pause screen will tell you the measure you need with a picture ......I did not read anything there about females

look at the 3 inch scale when you get it out of the pod the measurement goes from the eyes to the start of the tail if the eyes are above that 3 inches or below it do not keep that lobster you dont go by if they are male or female
