Snow Crab Catches
I've just bought my first crabbing boat and noticed I was getting (what feels like) pretty low returns per pot. On average about 750-1,000kg per pot. So I double-checked the wiki, did a little googling, and searched the discord but couldn't really find anything useful.

I'm using the Nova Scotia, setting pots directly on top of large clusters of crabs shown on the sonar, with a spacing of at least 5-600m between pots, & waiting at least 19 hours.

What on earth am I doing wrong?

Nothing, sometime you catch a lot, sometimes not. I had this issue with deepline. I set 30 deep lines and they all came up with 1 tuna. Set another 30 and got all 2-3 on the line.

Many discussions have taken place regarding the size of a catch in healthy habitats that show little or sometimes no catch at all, (low fish population). There seems to be no rhyme or reason on how the devs manage a catch. As stated above your doing nothing wrong, other than to expect any logic behind how the game works.

What worked for me, was zooming in on the fish sonar to like 250m width. If you see multiple crab ontop or really close to each other, i've gotten good returns on those. Like 2.5-4k lbs per pot.

It's this from an individual pot or a string of pots?
