Gutting and sortying.
Is there any point in sorting? Does it give more money?
Also arent gutting suppose to lower total weigh of the fish?
Even if its just lets say by 10% it would make big differance for bigger boats load.

1) If you don't sort the lobsters, keeping legal size only, 🚨 you will be fined when you sell the undersized ones.🚨 LOL

2) Gutted fish does pay a higher profit.

About gut-weight, I don't know, but I do know that experience and persistence make the day.

keep on fishing, and you’ll have a good fortune in your pocket for that bigger boat

I ment sorting fish. You cant really not sort lobsters.

The idea is, if you don't gut the fish the port will have to meaning that you will get a lower price to cover there cost

It's the law. And it's proper wildlife habitat management, insuring future harvests without a collapse(circa 1980 Alaskan King Crab).

Don't be a poacher. :)

How do you sort fish? I don’t sort fish. I gut them.

You buy sorting station on your boat and assign employees and they stack the fish.

Ok i see the confusion. I confused the sorting with stacking.

AFTER you gutt fish you can have it stack them and my question is if theres any point to sorting FISH after gutting. Do ports pay more? If not whats the point?

Also in my opinion mass of the fish should lower in game after gutting.

Well okay! This discussion is now sadly disappointing. It seems a critic is seeking an audience with the developer.

Perhaps your ideas are noteworthy, but it is of no concern to me. You could have been more transparent with your introduction to the topic and used such a word as a critique—what a waste of my time and yours.

What critique?
I just asked 2 legit questions.
I only got stacking and sorting names mixed up and that might have coused bit of confusion.
It seems only one seeking atention here is you and cant even provide answer to simple questions.

Nonsense, but perhaps you'll catch the attention of the developer.

No need for insults, OP. Words mean things, and you were using the wrong ones.

Fish don't get Sorted. Fish get Gutted. You must Gut and Stack fish before you can sell it. Freezing is optional based on the length of your trip(how fresh the fish will be at
Market).

Crustaceans(Lobster and Crab) get Sorted into Legal and Non-Legal. You keep the legal ones("Keepers") and you throw the non-legal ones back into the ocean. You don't Gut, Freeze or Stack Crustaceans, you just sell them.

Make sense?

Yeah maybe because i play on different language i got sorting and stacking mixed up.

I didnt stack any gutted fish and i can still sell them no problem so is there even a point in stacking them? That was my original question and i hope someone can finally answer it.

As for gutting my point was that gutting procces should lower fish weight a little. It actually would make big differance on bigger load ships.

I'll just say this one last time and you can decide if you want believe me or make up your own reality: You cannot sell unstacked fish. ("Fish" being Cod, Pollock, Haddock, Redfish or Silver Hake). Before it is stacked, fish is considered "unprocessed". Unprocessed fish cannot be sold at market.

As for gutting, you should do a bit of reading and understand what the term "Catch Weight" is, what it means, and how it pertains to the entire global food industry. The more you know! ;)
