Question about longlines etc.

Greetings my dear fishing friends, im new in this business und i like it :)
Besides some bugs i encountered so far i had a great time.

I recently bought me a longline fishing ship (this old boat from the 60's)
and asked myself why do i can bring 8 longlines with me but after 2-3 longlines my ship cargo is full.
Whats the purpose of this? Can someone explain this to me? Maybe im doing it wrong ;D probably^^

Set some, collect and fill boat, set more run back to sell, collect lines...etc

yea that sounds like the right way, i'll try this thank you :)

No problem, may take some tweaking to get the timing right. Start noticing how long it takes to set a line and stuff like that. Optimum soak time is around 19 hours.

I learned that the hard way to wait 19 hours, wasted 8 lines and got nearly bankrupt :D

Yeah, I'm trawling now due to the longlines. Another tip for longlines set them parallel to each other, then run along the ends to collect them.

Got not enough money for a bigger boat right now. Yea doing that already but thanks, but did after every collect a sell run and then i set new longlines :D
