First Scallop run....GOOD!
Bought Old Ben...fully crewed, went out and stayed out until i nearly filled the 20,000 kg capacity. I was pulling about 1400 kg per net and collected over 19,000 kg of Scallops then decided to head in for a sale. Went to Dennis Point and sold at $30 a kg and cashed out with over $570,000. Paid 295,000 for Ole Ben so 275,000 profit minus crew salary. So yeah, one trip out and the boat is paid for. I'll be doing more runs with this boat. No doubt a good expansion to the game.

Be carefull, the Scallop DLC boats are bugged from what I have been reading. Do a quick search here in the forums and you will get the picture. Basically the nets, although hauled in, are still registered as being out. Not allowing for fast travel and saving. SOmeone did say they found that things worked ok if you did not pull in a full load.

Just be sure to wait until every movement of the cranes lowering and raising are completed I fine before going on to the next step. And save after every haul so you don't have to go through the process of a tow, then change boats etc to off load your catch. As for gutting. Watch your hand and just before it hits the top of the stroke hit the mouse button and then swipe your mouse on the arrow and you will get 100% gutting. It takes practice. But again watch how far the travel of the knife is and like I said just a little before hit the mouse button. Use the metal line of the table as a guide. Also I have to top knife. Make sure to have that.

I haven't tried anything manually yet with Scallops. I had my crew handle everything on that first run, but I will try to do some stuff myself next run out see how it goes. I plan to fill up to max capacity again, then head in and sell. Will still be running the Old Ben for now.

As for Old Ben, I found that if I skipped through or sped up my commands before the equipment had cycled and stopped, then the issue that has been reported of the trawl bag not completely emptying will prevent you from saving. So should you eventually do everything manually, just be aware to let the equipment cycle and once you complete the cycle quick save is what I do every cycle to prevent any game play loss. But also remember if you want you just manually sail back to port. Unload with the docking button in the bridge of the ship. The grey anchour button. Then change to another boat and that will allow you to offload your goods and reset the boat once you've chosen another boat. Then you can save again. This is what I was told by others to do and it does work. Again I just started playing this game so I do not know all the tricks yet lol!
