Deep Lines?
So how do Deep Lines work now since the new updates?

The guide about deep line fishing is still relevant. From a high level, use sonar to determine fish beneath the craft and drop your deep line in a minimum of 100m. I've found that even if a school is directly beneath me, I will have trouble getting more than 2 on a deep line buoy if it's in fewer than 250m

I have gotten back in to the game recently since a few updates. I started a new hard game and i still cant seem to figure out why deep lining for tuna and swordfish is not effective as it once was. I have read through the comments on various threads, some say bugged, other say you need to go deeper. I have tried 250m deep water and blanketed the area to see what happens after 20 hours with 60 plus deep lines i get 2 buoys go blue. Do you need to wait for the Tuna and swordfish to go into deeper water? if so what is the best depth?

There was seagulls above the entire spot and tuna had multiple hits at the 100m sonar range as i was placing the deep line buoys down.

Clarification on this would be nice.

Make sure you are in the habitat and the habitat population is not low. Medium is okay and high population will fill almost every line with 3 fish.
Look me up on youtube. BattleCrom is the channel name. I do a video for a quick start on the hard level and make a killing deep lining.
I also have a video showing how to map out a habitat if you're not sure how habitats work.
