Starting the game with Harpooning sucks majorly.

I just got this game and harpooning is unbelievably frustrating. 95% of shots miss, even those that look dead on. Reeling them in take 10 minutes and half the time I'm not even sure anything is happening cause the sounds are all wonky and there's only a reel sound effect when the fish is struggling.

I'm pretty sure I'll never get to experience what else the game has to offer cause harpooning is just not fun at all.

As soon as have enough money for deep line and a crew member you don't need to look back. I think its fun with the harpoon but if you really want to start getting into the money you need to start fishing bellow the surface . On the way out of Yarmouth you will find a boat, it costs 10k to buy at Yarmouth port and is for long line fishing no space for crew members

If you don't like hapoon fishing don't bother, go directly to Yarmouth, find the bank take multiple loans then buy the best sonar and the maximum amount of deeplines if i remenber on the Mikky (the boat starter) its 8. And also a crewman, then go out and find tuna.

Rince and repeat then pays the loans, upgrade you boat then next buy the Folabuhen, then the Ocean Runer and finally the Double Trouble.

Once your there you are able to make huge profits easly its basicaly the end game.

On my game i sold the Double Trouble took few loans and bought the Deckster Trawler and same thing after few sorties id paid back the loans now im im sitting with more than 5m$ with a boat that have a value of 5m$ too and total free of loans.

harpooning is trash , period.

you should have a choice when you start , but yeah the others have given you a pretty solid run to follow to get into the bigger boats
