Weather System and Sea States

I have noticed that there really isn't a proper weather system in the game.
Here's what i mean.

The sea state is either moderate or calm , i have not seen any rough seas yet that throws boats all over the place.

I think it would be a good addition to add bad weather for boats, the smaller boats would run the risk of being damaged or even sunk if the sea is too rough for them.
The bigger boats can go out in rougher seas than the smaller boats but even then there could be a sea state that's even too rough for them.

Examples.

any boat smaller than 40 ft would only be able to go out up to a gale force 4 any higher than that and the risk of damage or sinking is a major factor.

20 - 40 ft would be ok up to gale force 6 Strong breeze

40 - 80 ft would be ok up to a gale force 8 Gale

80 - 100 ft would be ok up to gale force 10 Storm

for gale force 11 + 12 you would need a boat at least bigger than 100 ft as these are violent storms and hurricanes

This would limit what you can go out in depending on the sea state, taking a 40 ft boat out in a gale force 10 would be suicide just like it would in real life and a gale force 8 would be risky as hell.

this is just a thought to be added to the game.

i was using coastern the other day and the waves were killing me.

ill take some screen shots next time but i have seen some heavy seas .

it would be great if they damaged the boat i agree

not seen none yet but i have only been playing less than a week so maybe i will see some :) .

If you want waves to kill you sail of the map i did by mistake , 30 secs later i was sinking lmao

You can have the sea state I had pulling crab yesterday. 22 knot winds were giving me swells as high as my bridge in the saddle between two of them making grabbing pots a chore. Not sure how high of winds we can get in game but if there are any days where 30+ can happen, I will stay in port lol

i saw my 1st roughish sea state again like yours the wind was 22kts caused a few problems when grabbing the lobster pots.

Up until 1 November i didn't see any seas like that so i'm guessing from November onwards maybe upto spring months is where you will see the rougher seas.

typically through december and january you will get sleet and heavy seas .

big boats only , but i have been caught out in the mikki
